Hornady SST Slugs

Hornady SST Slugs
I have shot these slugs out of my 870 Express Magnum for the last 5 years. By far the best slug I have ever shot. Once you get dialed in they group awesome. It is fun shooting your slug gun 150-200 yards and having good groups. I sighted my gun in 4" high at 50 yards and it is dead on at 150 yards. I have harvested some awesome bucks with this product and never plan on changing. If your looking for a great slug too give you the extra edge this is the one, look no further. The pack a...

LaCrosse Alphaburly Pro 18" 1600gram
I got these great boots for the 2013 deer season up here in MN. I must say I love them. They definitly keep your feet warm during long cold all day sits. I sat for 11 hours on November 9th our MN gun opener for whitetail! My feet never got cold at all, not one bit! If you are looking for a boot thats warm I recomend these for sure. The only thing I wouldn't recomend them for is if you do a lot of walking. They are a little bulky. If you hunt like me and just sit for...

Turkey Hunting Tips

Turkey Hunting Tips
For many years I have been hutning the elusive MN gobbler. Well at least there elusive when your hutning them. Doesn't it seem like they could be a family pet when the season is over or before it starts? They drive me crazy! Over the years I have picked up a few good tips that help me stay successful in the turkey woods. First thing I do is thry to enter the woods as quiet as possible. Basically like deer hunting. The big smart toms will know when his woods is being disturbed. There is no reason an hour to a...

The effects late ice out could have on spawning fish.

I was talking to my good buddy Ryan Ramacher a Lindy Fishing Pro the other day and had to ask him this question. What effect will the late ice out have on the fish spawn? His answer was this. Right now the females are full of eggs. If the ice stays to long and the water temp doesn't get from 43-47 degress soon all the eggs in the females will turn white and basically die. He told me 3 years ago on Mille Lacs he caught many females that were just shooting out white eggs all over his boat. The males...

My 2012 Season!

b2ap3_thumbnail_2012.jpg     2012 was the best season I have ever had. I would like to thank Athens, and all my other sponsors for making it happen. Spring turkey was Ok I ended up sticking a Jake with my Recluse and just never found him. I looked for 2 days and ended up with a bad case of Poison Ivy. About 2 months ago I saw the same bird so in a way it made it a little easier on me. I still can't believe I choked. During turkey season I manged to shoot a nice coyote at about 35 yards...
