U-Slide Bow Holder – Product Review

U-Slide Bow Holder – Product Review
So here is my latest purchase.  The U-Slide Bow Holder.  As you can see it serves several purposes.  Most archers and especially new archers will run into the issue of what to do with their bow when retrieving arrows.  Do you lean it against something trying to prop it up awkwardly risking that it falls over?  Stand it up on the cams?  Lay it on its side and risk moving the housing on your site.  There’s lots of scenarios for why I had to find a solution to this problem. This is the best solution I have found for long and...

Venison Loin Chop Kabobs

Venison Loin Chop Kabobs
Start with a good Marinade. If you’re not confident in your own cooking skills go with your favorite 30 minute steak marinade. Slice Chops into nice sized cubes. Place in a container with Marinade and refrigerate for 30 mins. While the venison is marinating prepare your veggies. For the pictured Kabobs I used several different veggies. Yellow & Green Zucchini Squash. Red Onion. Yellow & Orange Bell Peppers and Baby Portabella Mushrooms. Skewer veggies first so that your protein is grilled between the veggies to help infuse the flavor. Add Venison and fold meat in half if cooking to rare meat...

You can cut corners and try and save yourself money by buying online but trust me when I say you are doing yourself...

Taking The "Gamey" Taste Out of Wild Game

Taking The "Gamey" Taste Out of Wild Game
A popular misconception about all wild game is that it has a "gamey" taste.  This is all in how you prepare your meat.  For most who have never tried wild game they have a preconceived notion that it is going to taste weird or awful.  There are some individuals who will never try it unless they aren't aware of what they are eating.  In these cases almost always they are pleasantly surprised.  Growing up in a household where Venison was a nightly meal and eating turtles, rabbits, elk, squirrel, bear and wild hog is nothing to blink at you do not...

I Hope No One Was Watching

I Hope No One Was Watching
This year I finally came to the realization that I was going to be forced into making a decision that I have been putting off for years.  There was a much needed surgical repair that had to be done on my right foot that I could no longer prolong.  When was this lengthy procedure with a lengthy recovery time going to work into my already busy schedule?  How would I work it around the Ohio Whitetail hunting season? Come February in Ohio hunters are already wishing it was fall.  We start preparing for the harvest.  Spring and Summer come and we...
