Irish Setter Rutmaster Boots (1200 gram)

Irish Setter Rutmaster Boots (1200 gram)
I finally broke down and purchased some good winter boots. I normally just use my 400 gram hunting boots all winter and just add a layer of wool socks to get by. This year however my feet were telling me that wasn't going to be good enough. I don't know if it's my ripe old age of 37 or if I'm just becoming a sissy. Either way, I knew I was going to have to buy some boots that were actually built for the cold winters up here in Northern Minnesota. I wanted a boot that was warm, 100% water proof,...

Prism Suit by Striker Brand LLC.

Prism Suit by Striker Brand LLC.
Being a lady outdoor enthusiast I have found it quite hard to find proper attire to stay dry and warm. Water inevitably leaks through.  Living in Northern Minnesota, the elements pose serious challenges. And keeping them from spoiling a great day on the ice is every fisherman's goal.I was amazed and very happy with the newest addition to my winter gear this season. Bowfinger Archery 3.0 Smartphone Mount
I want to talk about bow mounts for your smartphone. Most people these days take a smart phone with them into the woods or field when hunting. Why not use something your already going to take to record your hunt? These mount your phone on your bow and point your smartphone or small camera where your arrow is pointed. When I was in search of a smart phone or small camera mount for my phone this year I did some looking around at different models. The Bowfinger 3.0 is what I ended up with and I am going to tell...

ScoutLook Hunting Weather Apps

ScoutLook Hunting Weather Apps
ScoutLook Hunting Weather Mobile App If you don't have it I suggest you get it. ScoutLook is a weather / hunting app.  It gives you weather but it also give you a lot more. The app can locate you and tell you weather for your area. You can also set up ScoutMaps. This is where you can set loaction for where you hunt or your treestands or ground blinds. I use this app days before I hunt to plan my hunt, when I get to a property and when I am in the stand. My favorite feature of the App...

Ribz Front Pack

Ribz Front Pack
This past Spring I was asked to try out the Ribz Front Pack from Ribz Wear and do a product review on TFO. I'll admit I had only briefly seen or heard of the Front Pack via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. First thing I did was check out the Ribz Wear website to see what this nifty little pack was all about. They have a nice, well built  website with lots of great information. At first I thought the pack looked a little goofy, maybe a glorified fanny pack? Then I noticed on the site that they were...
