Hot Shot Eclipse Thumb Release

Hot Shot Eclipse Thumb Release
I want to tell you about the Hot Shot Manufacturing Eclipse Thumb release. I picked up this release a few years ago. The release is by far my favorite archery release. When I first got it I couldn't help but tell how well built it was. This thing is sold. It comes with 2 springs to adjust the release from a light release to a harder release. At first I did and advise you try the harder spring. Especially if you have never used a thumb release before. I soon found myself changing over to the light...

The Shooting Edge ProTX Kevlar Armored Hand Guard

The Shooting Edge ProTX Kevlar Armored Hand Guard
I want to tell you about I product I picked up. It is named the ProTX Kevlar Armored Hand Guard from Shooting Edge. It is a glove that you wear when you are shooting your bow. It is designed to prevent severe injury from misfired arrows. By protecting your hand with a triple layered Kevlar. Kevlar is a lightweight, cut resistant durable and extraordinarily strong material. Barely noticeable the glove is made with breathable materials. The ProTX also reduces the torque on the bow handle, which can often cause misfired arrows.               ...

Athens Archery Testament Review

Athens Archery Testament Review
I would like to tell you about the Testament from Athens Archery. The bow came out in 2013 and is still in their line up in 2015. First off when you pull the Testament out of the box or off the rack at you local shop you will notice the weight. The weight of this bow is only 3.9 lbs. This is on the lighter end of the spectrum. Which is great for the hike into your hunting area. The next thing you will notice is the grip. The grip on this bow is mainly metal but, it...

Tender and Flavorful Grilled Venison

Tender and Flavorful Grilled Venison
Here is a simple recipe you can use for your backstraps, tenderloins, steaks or other cuts. I say it is simple but it does take some preparation time but, the rewards are great. Things you will need: 1 - 2 Lb or Venison 1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce 1/8 Cup Liquid Smoke 1/4 Cup Dales or Moore's type Marinade 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce 1/4 Cup Pickle Juice         Cut your venison to your desired sizes. The smaller the cut the more marinade will get in the meat. Just not so small it can not be grilled. Place the venison in a plastic container that...

HOT SHOT Manufacturing VAPOR Thumb Release

HOT SHOT Manufacturing VAPOR Thumb Release
The Hot Shot Manufacturing Vapor was first introduced in 2014. I have been shooting this release for almost a year. The Vapor comes in a 3 finger and 4 finger version. It also comes in Black and Realtree Camo finishes. This leaves you with 4 different options for the Hot Shot Vapor. I choose the 4 finger Realtree Camo version for my choice. Most people think of a wrist strap release for hunting and a thumb release for target shooting. This is Hot Shots answer to a silent thumb release mainly directed towards bowhunting. Why not have a release that...
