I picked up a set of these sticks when I bought the Muddy Outdoors Hunter Treestand. I've had numerous opportunities to use them out in the woods, strapped to a variety of trees. I've had them strapped to enormous Oaks, Slick Poplar Tree, Maples and Pines. On each tree they were rock solid and safe.  My favorite things about these sticks. Muddy Outdoors Hunter Tree Stand UPDATE: I've been out in the woods across Minnesota with this stand now a month after the intial review. I love it! Very light, even with four climbing sticks strapped to it. It's very comfortable and quite! I've packed this setup into the woods and put it up in the dark and have no complaints. When it comes to non-climbing stands I think it would be tough to beat. Very sturdy and confidence inspiring for those standing shots.
