Eskimo Fatfish 949i

Eskimo Fatfish 949i
Eskimo Fatfish 949i I had been looking for a nice hub-style fish house ever since they came out. I bet I looked at every brand that is out there. Every time I was near a sporting goods store I had to stop. I felt like a little kid because I had to go into every house. So then it was decision time. Do I get the Clam or the Eskimo? I had narrowed my options down to those two houses. Eskimo Fatfish 949i Wins! Why that model? I'll tell you why I chose that model over all the others Eskimo has...

Prism Suit by Striker Brand LLC.

Prism Suit by Striker Brand LLC.
Being a lady outdoor enthusiast I have found it quite hard to find proper attire to stay dry and warm. First thing I did was check out the Ribz Wear website to see what this nifty little pack was all about. They have a nice, well built  website with lots of great information. At first I thought the pack looked a little goofy, maybe a glorified fanny pack? Then I noticed on the site that they were...

Red Lake Open Water Report from 6.9.2013

Red Lake Open Water Report from 6.9.2013
After an awesome weekend of fishing on Upper Red Lake it is hard to come back to reality, work and the real world.  Six of us headed up after work on Thursday 6.6.13 for some superior walleye fishing.  We camped at West Wind Resort, which I highly recommend.  Beautiful on the water campsites, fire rings, full hook up, docks and harbor protected from the lake.  They have bait, a fish cleaning house, cabins, a restaurant/bar and it is all very nicely kept.  Friday was overcast for most of the day, but fishing produced.  We were catching fish in that 4-5' range,...
